Stanford has signed a campus license agreement to provide the most commonly used Microsoft software to all faculty, staff, and students. There is no cost to individuals or departments for the MS software on Stanford-owned machines. Faculty, staff, and students with a Stanford Office 365 account can install Office 365 ProPlus on up to five computers (Windows and Mac), five tablets, and five smartphones for free. These devices can be personal or Stanford-owned.
Microsoft Imagine standard developer tools are available to faculty, staff, and students for no fee for academic and classroom use.

Aug 12, 2019 Microsoft Office perpetual licenses are no longer part of the Home Use Program. A perpetual license to use it are coming to an end as. And Business 2019 are no. In short I purchased Office 2016 for my Mac via the Hup program in October 2015. I've switched to a Windows PC and would like this to carry over to my Windows PC. I went into my order history for the Mac purchase, it took me to the Hup site but the link to re-download the Windows version was not active.
